Teaching Approach & Vision
My approach to teaching involves creativity, flexibility, adaptability, and initiative in an effort to enable students to adjust to change, feel ownership, and personal responsibility for their actions.
I feel it is.....
-Vital to foster a sense of belonging and civic duty while embracing human rights and values as we celebrate each student's unique potential
-Necessary to provide clear expectations and positive feedback in a balanced social, emotional, and intellectual support system
-Imperative to create a safe and caring learning environment that will foster healthy communication and positive rapport
-Essential to provide constructive feedback, encourage self-reflection and good communication skills/strategies to support independent conflict resolution
-Important to create cross-curricular connections in learning to real life examples and to provide hands on activities that will enrich the student experience
-Crucial to recognize and value the involvement of family and community as partners in the learning experience
-Necessary to inspire an intrinsic love of learning and the benefits of lifelong learning at an early age
Important to integrate into the curriculum programs such as Peer Support, Bullying Prevention, Buddy Programs, Resiliency, Student Health, Student Leadership, Civic Duty, and Core Values students will be given a more balanced social, emotional and intellectual growth opportunity
Absolutely necessary to be tolerant and compassionate with one another and celebrate diversity and the positive attributes that we all share!
